I am Italian. Initially based in the Netherlands (1987-2002), then back to Italy (2002-2019) and currently in France, I have been providing professional translation and vis-à-vis interpreting services, and other language-related services since 1998 with great passion, dedication and enthusiasm.
I graduated in law (5-year single-cycle Master’s Degree in Law «laurea in giurisprudenza») in 1987 from the University of Bologna, Faculty of Law, Italy.
Sworn translator Dutch-Italian
I was added to the list of sworn Dutch-Italian translators with the Dutch Courts of Alkmaar (before which I took an oath in 1999 – n. 36451 / HA RK 98-872), Rotterdam, Amsterdam and The Hague.
In 2009, in compliance with Dutch law, I was registered as a sworn Dutch-Italian translator with the Dutch register of sworn interpreters and translators (Rbtv – Register beëdigde tolken en vertalers, registration nr. 2706).
A PROPER TRANSLATION, ESPECIALLY IN THE LEGAL FIELD, IS THE RESULT OF PROPER THINKING
Thanks to my law-based educational background and the specific skills acquired in the years in the translation industry, especially in the legal sector, I have acquired a conscious and critical/analytical mindset, free from habits of simplification and superficiality, needed:
- to attain sector-specific professional expertise
- to develop the knowledge and technical tools required to work effectively in the juridical language field
- to acquire linguistic skills for translating and interpreting legal texts, becoming familiar with various types of legal documents
- to understand, distinguish between and compare the underlying principles of a specific legal system, thereby acquiring specific terminology
- to avoid any literal translation that may be inadequate and/or incorrect regarding the choice of the most appropriate equivalent.
I have been accomplished all this through a constant in-depth focus on sector-specific knowledge.
