La mostra “Van Gogh. L’uomo e la terra”, curata da Kathleen Adler, illustra il profondo legame tra l’artista olandese e la natura. Le opere in mostra sono state messe in relazione con il tema dell’Expo 2015 Nutrire il Pianeta, Energia per la Vita, dimostrando come l’interesse dell’artista per i cicli della terra e quelli della vita dell’uomo abbiano influenzato la sua poetica (la terra e i suoi frutti, l’uomo al centro del mondo reale, la vita rurale e agreste strettamente legata al ciclo delle stagioni).
